If you have an incredibly good voice, are seriously overweight, drink constantly and develop a heroin addiction — chances are you’re not going to last all too long in this world. James Ramey’s only album: The Baby Huey Story - The Living Legend was released posthumously in 1971. Like Otis Redding, Ramey died at the age of 26. His work lives on in Wu Tang Clan samples and in its influence upon hip-hop in general. So, enjoy this bit of psychedelic soul.
